How to Park a call and retrieve a Parked call

OVERVIEW

This article will help you Park a call and retrieve a Parked call. There are separate instructions for doing this on the Linkus Mobile App, the Linkus Desktop Client and a Yealink desk phone.

INSTRUCTIONS WHEN USING LINKUS MOBILE APP
  1. During the call, press the small arrow above the 4 function keys. Press Park and then press System Park. The call will be parked in the first available parking bay. A pop-up notification will appear advising which bay the call is parked at, e.g. "Parked at 6001".
  2. Advise the call recipient which parking bay the call was placed at, e.g. "Parked at 6001".
  3. How to retrieve the call will depend on the device used:
    - From the Linkus Mobile App: Press the Function Keys icon at the top of the screen - a square with Fn within it. This will drop down the Function Keys menu. Press the relevant Park key (e.g. if the call was parked at 6001, press Park 1).
    - From the Linkus Desktop Client: Click the Function Keys icon at the top of the screen - a square with Fn within it. This will drop down the Function Keys menu. Click the relevant Park key (e.g. if the call was parked at 6001, press Park 1).
    - From a Yealink phone: Press the relevant function key, e.g. "Park 1".
    PLEASE NOTE: In your Function Keys menu, the "P" icon beside labels "Park 1", "Park 2" will be red when occupied (a call is waiting to be retrieved) and green when available.
  4. If a parked call is not picked up by the recipient within 5 minutes, the call will return to the extension which parked it.

INSTRUCTIONS WHEN USING LINKUS DESKTOP CLIENT
  1. During the call, click the Function Keys icon at the top of the screen - a square with Fn within it. This will drop down the Function Keys menu. Click an available "Park" key (the "P" icon will be green if the bay is available). You do not need to press Transfer or Hold. The call will be parked in the selected parking bay, e.g. "Park 1" and the "P" icon will turn red.
  2. Advise the call recipient which parking bay the call was placed at, e.g. "Park 1".
  3. How to retrieve the call will depend on the device used:
